Wedding of Cindy & Brian Philips

One nice thing about being cought up with posting things is that I can actually still remember more than just the bride and groom's names when I post these cool pictures.

Anyhow, when these guys booked me, my wife was still only around 4 months pregnant, so the original due date of my baby Megan is November 15th, which is really close to their November 11th wedding date, so just to be on the safe side, I made sure that they were okay if my Brother Jerry shot their wedding IF Megan decided to crash the party! But fortunately Megan was considerate enough to be born on the 6th, so gave me a whole week to get myself together to shoot their wedding!

Enough about me....to the wedding! These guys are so cool to shoot that I ended up shooting around 1600 shots and didn't even realize it :) Enjoy the pictures!

a bit of a Rant...

I've ran into this type of situations a few time already...but, what is with people who goes into a professional photography studio and expect to take "a few shots" with their little point and shoot!!!? I mean, I can understand when I'm at a couple's wedding and people are snapping away, but when they come into a photographer's studio, don't they know to respect the professional? Why would they even have a studio setup if they allowed you to shoot in the studio?

Anyhow, just seemed really strange to be because I wouldn't take a loaf of dough into a bakery and use their oven to bake it.......ok, done :)

the Spidy trailer

after shooting 3 family sessions and a wedding anniversary yesterday, I was pooped out! So while I was feeding my baby and watching Spider-Man 2 on channel 11, I saw the trailer for Spider-Man 3 and I was like....where have I been! So today, I feel like getting lazy and not post any wedding pictures and just share the clip with all of you.....hehe me lazy :)

Enjoy!

Thankful at Thanksgiving

Wow, I never imagined that I would be saying what I was thankful at thanksgiving. I remember growing up and parents making me say things that I'm thankful for, but it alway seemed so fake and we just said it to make our parents get off our backs. But this year, I am sincerely thankful for many things in my life.

In no particular order, I am thankful to my parents for letting me grow in an environment that I grew up loving, which is the field of portrait and wedding photography. It may seem corny, but I sincerely LOVE to shoot all of the people that I get to work with. Be it the family portraits, baby portraits, studio weddings, and most of all Wedding Day Photography!!! I really enjoy working with everyone and feeling + absorbing the love that everyone has for their family or loved one.....it's so great, I love it!

Second I'm super thankful for my splendedly loving wife Jenny. She has been such a big part of my life ever since I've met her. In the words of Jerry Maguire........yes, "you complete me" Without you I am so lonely, but with your love and support I feel like there is nothing that I can't do! Besides being super supportive, she is also the loving mother of our new child Megan. Thank you for that 9 months of hard work and I look forward to having w-a-y too many not-enough-sleep nights taking care of our angel in the days to come...! I love you Jenny!

I am also so greatful for Jenny's family for being so accepting and never being judgemental in the things that Jenny and I decide to do. Not to mention the countless hours that my mother-in-law has spent tending to our baby, without your help we would be lost! Thank you all!

Another thing is that I'm super thankful of our friends. Every birthday or holiday that the friends gather, I always think to myself that it is true friends that makes life much more fun and interesting. Thank you to jenny(s), joseph, peter, alicia, hong, candy, kerry, sandy, stella+sisters, sophia+bruce.....I know there's more but brain is not working....oh BTW congrats to Winnie and Angelo for their Engagement!!!

Almost forgot, I'm kinda thankful for my brother Jerry for being such a pain-in-the-ass from when I can remember and always asking for the best in me! You are a great part of my life and the reason I always try to be better is your FAULT! Because if I relax just a little bit doing something you can, you're going to chew my ass about it. So thank you for being you!

I think there is definately more things that I'm thankful for, but gotta run back into the studio to shoot a wedding anniversary session!

Have a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving! gobble gobble.....

Black Gold Country Club

Wedding of Linh & Jason was shot at the Black Gold Country Club in Yorba Linda....the only place that made me get lost....! Don't believe your Navigation or Google maps or Mapquest if you're going to this place. Just call them and they'll set you up with not too confusing directions...

Before I shot this I did not meet Jason so I didn't really know what he wanted...but luckly they both loved my work thet they've saw here on the blog and Linh heard some nice words about my work from someone at a nail salon so it was real easy for us to get along... :)

Wedding of Kevin and Pauline

Yay, the few recent weddings that I've shot, I've either done engagement sessions for or have had a long relationship with, so even some of them (like this one) may have long hours, the company was good so it was not that bad!

I shot Pauline and Kevin's Engagement a few months ago and I know I was going to have fun shooting their wedding day. Their bridal party was so fun to shoot as well so .....ok, enough about how much fun...here's the pictures!

Love this one!

Suki grabbed a nice one of Pauline while I was shooting the guys coming in the house! good job kid!
